AFM CPAs and Advisors LLC serves individuals, families and businesses in their tax and accounting needs.

In particular we focus on business/practice owners and dental and health care professionals. With deep experience in public accounting and practice management/coaching we focus on the long term financial well being and success of our clients.


Mike Allpass, CPA

Mike Allpass, CPA

Managing Principal/Founder

Mike Allpass is a seasoned, technology-driven CPA. Building his career with Deloitte and Ernst & Young over eleven years he left EY as Principal and Director of Computer Auditing to serve “smaller” clients in his own CPA and Consulting practice. Michael has also served as Controller and/or CFO for a number of companies nationally and internationally, including Sterling Software, WebMD, Emdeon, Excellence in Dental Care, Fortune Practice Management (a Tony Robbins Company) and Low-T Centers. Michael also took two years in South Africa to serve as CFO to mothers2mothers, an international NGO dedicated to eradicating the transmission of HIV from mothers to their newborn infants. Mike has received extensive training in the field of advisory, tax, accounting and information systems. His expertise is in software, SAAS, technology, health care and small business accounting and tax. He is a member of the AICPA and Georgia Society of CPA’s and received Bachelors and Masters degrees in Accounting and Auditing from the University of South Africa.

Mike was born and raised in South Africa. He and his wife Sue moved to Atlanta in 1986 and they raised their two children in the Dunwoody and Roswell areas. Mike is a five time Ironman Finisher and enjoys triathlon, motorcycling and flying when he is not in the office.

Brent Eastwood, CMA

Director, Advisory Servies

Brent joined AFM in 2018 as Director, Advisory Services. He is a proven leader, bringing a wealth of experience and knowledge in management, finance, accounting, operations, technology, and sales/marketing. Throughout his career, Brent has proven experience in the international arena, working in Executive Management positions with companies from small (sales of $10m) to Fortune 500. That experience includes manufacturers, distributors, sales organizations, and import companies. Brent has tackled work with startup companies, turnarounds, those preparing for sale or merger, and establishing U.S. operations for a foreign company.


Brent enjoys analyzing a business, identifying efficiencies needed, determining direction for improvement, initiating change to move the company forward, establishing systems for protocol and business management, and monitoring progress for successful results. He’s a designer, implementer and customizer.


Garnering extensive experience with focus on achieving cost and operational efficiency, Brent has engaged in virtually every aspect of business. As an effective communicator, he has a proven talent for change management, people management and vendor/client relationships.


His personal interests include playing golf and international travel.


Denise Beinke

Denise Beinke

Manager, Administrative Services

Denise joined AFM CPAs and Advisors, LLC in September 2018 as Manager, Administrative Services. She has 15 years of programming experience, both development and support, in banking, and patient accounting systems for hospitals. She has spent the last 9 years providing quality client service to insurance clients and securities clients.

Denise uses her technical and administrative background to provide exceptional service to our clients and our staff.

In her free time, you can usually find her outside doing something fun, spending time with family, playing with power tools, or reading a good book.

Joy Lathem

Manager, Client Services

Joy joined AFM CPAs and Advisors, LLC in December 2014, as the Manager, Client Services. She is a seasoned accounting and payroll professional with demonstrated success in small to medium-sized businesses. Her experience in evaluating and implementing systems and processes help clients generate accurate and timely financial information. Her work experience is diverse and includes experience in the automotive, granite quarries, software, manufacturing, building and restoration service, industries to name a few. Her varied experience helps the firm serve a broad range of clients.

Joy enjoys working in the accounting arena with individuals and businesses. Her goal is that AFM clients have the information they need to make informed financial decisions. She is dedicated to working with individuals and businesses to help them achieve their goals.

Outside of AFM, Joy enjoys spending time with her family, reading, gardening, and cooking.

Justine Diamond

Justine Diamond

Manager, Client Services

Justine joined AFM CPAs and Advisors, LLC in July 2018, as Manager, Client Services. Her career began in Financial Management and Accounting for a national retail concession. In the retail accounting world, her time was largely spent in financial management, analysis, budgeting, financial control and payroll of a retail business with a national footprint. In addition, she directed the day to day operations of the business where she encountered diverse work environments dealing with people from all walks of life. Justine also has Corporate Management experience in ICT and identity management. She graduated with a Bachelors in Management Leadership from UFS Business School in collaboration with the DePaul University in Chicago. She is well skilled in QuickBooks and is a certified Intuit QuickBooks Online Pro Advisor. Justine has extensive experience in nonprofit organizations/associations having served as Treasurer of Child Welfare Alberton SA and served on the board of various other non-profit organizations/associations. Justine has more than 17 years financial management experience and is a self-confessed perfectionist when it comes to book keeping and financial records.

Justine is passionate about working for clients that need financial management advise and accounting services. Her goal is to work as a team in AFM to provide reliable, accurate and professional accounting services to their clients. She considers quality as the key ingredient to a sustainable relationship.

Outside of AFM, Justine enjoys spending time with her family, running, reading and is passionate about cooking. Her philanthropic work is focused around improving the lives of the children, especially the children of Africa. She is an active member of the community and serves on the advisory board at her Children’s School.

Linda Cooper

Linda Cooper

Client Success Manager

Linda joined AFM CPAs and Advisors, LLC in November, 2017, as Client Success Manager. Her career began in Correspondent and Corporate Banking. In the banking world, her time was largely spent in a consultative role, analyzing investment portfolios of correspondent banks and identifying Treasury Services solutions for large corporations. In addition, she directed the Corporate Management Training and Direct Hire (advance degree hires) programs for Wachovia Bank, now Wells Fargo. After starting a family, Linda transitioned into the insurance industry. In those 16 years, she analyzed the insurance needs of individuals and businesses related to their health, dental, life, and disability coverages. She worked with small businesses (with 2 to 500 employees) on their employee benefits package.

Linda is excited about working in the accounting arena with individuals and businesses. Her goal is that AFM provide exceptional service to our clients. She considers quality production and responsiveness as essential ingredients to a successful, professional relationship.

Outside of AFM, Linda enjoys spending time with her family, philanthropic work, hiking, a good book and being in the kitchen! She is an active member at her church, volunteering with the children’s programs.


Suzanne Kaufman

Suzanne Kaufman

Manager, Client Services

Suzanne joined AFM CPAs and Advisors, LLC in January, 2019, as Manager, Client Services. She has a BBA from Emory in Finance and Marketing. Suzanne has worked with a variety of small businesses over the years, including fundraising, non-profits, real estate development and event management. She has been involved in a consultative role as well as setting up all accounting and daily reporting systems to being the Controller of successful small businesses.

She enjoys bringing the numbers to light, so that they can be easily understood and useful to management.

In her spare time, Suzanne enjoys spending time with family and friends. Hiking, kayaking and tennis are some of her favorite hobbies.

Director/Tax and Advisory

Mavis joined AFM CPAs and Advisors, LLC in November, 2018, as Director/Tax and Advisory.  Although she began her career in a small accounting firm, she found her niche as Controller/CFO of small to medium size companies.  While being very hands on, Mavis managed all accounting, finance and human resource functions for the last 23 years.  Also, she has prepared personal, business  and non-profit tax returns for 30 years.  At this time, she is looking forward to focusing on tax and advisory work. 

Mavis is a Georgia native and currently resides in Suwanee. Aside from work, she enjoys spending time with her family, animals, and friends, cooking, gardening, and reading.  
Eleine Janse van Rensburg CA(SA)

Director, Client Services

Eleine joined AFM CPAs and Advisors, LLC in December 2018 as Director, Client Services.  She is a qualified Chartered Accountant registered in South Africa.  Her career began in Public Accounting in Johannesburg, South Africa in the Private Client services industry as a trainee accountant at one of the big 4 accounting firms for the next 3 years.  After finishing her articles, she left public accounting for a 2 year period to gain experience as a Financial accountant advisor to government institutions and a staff accountant in the Telecommunications industry.  From here she took up a great opportunity moving abroad to New York City, USA to rejoin PwC in the Madison Avenue office in NYC (for the next 18 months) working in the Financial Services industry, providing audit services as part of teams to Hedge Fund clients.  

In July 2016 Eleine relocated to Atlanta, still with PwC but returned to the Private Client Services department for the next 2 years.

In May 2018, an opportunity in the PwC office in Cayman Islands took her interest where she was part of the Financial Services department, once again providing auditing services to Hedge Fund clients.

As a result of the multinational and cross industry experience gained during the time up to now, she is well equipped for the next role in her career with AFM.  In addition to the corporate, business, consulting & advisory and technical knowledge gained, she values the opportunities to work with multiple teams with people in an array of roles that contributed to the fact that she values client service and adding value to the people she works with on an everyday basis. 

Eleine is very excited to have joined AFM as she has always been passionate about working with non-public clients and assessing where mutual beneficial synergies can be pursued.

On a personal note, she and her husband (both from South Africa) currently reside in Atlanta and started a family welcoming a precious little girl into the world.  Her hobbies include spending time with family and friends, traveling, exploring new coffee shops, reading and being active.  She is also a member of Passion City Church in Atlanta and loves how the Lord opens doors and provides on an ongoing basis for our good and His glory.
